How Beautiful The Sunrise

"How beautiful the sunrise!" How often you have heard this phrase before. But in reality, how often have you witnessed the sunrise? Perhaps your work schedule does not permit it, or the sunrise comes at the wrong time of the day, or it may be cloudy. There are any number of excuses, but guaranteed that at any time or place the sunrise is superb.

You might say that there is a lot of sameness in a sunrise; color, cloud effects, silhouettes of trees, birds singing, dogs barking, and even roosters crowing. Does this become commonplace after a time?

He who has eyes let him see; ears, let him hear; perception, let him perceive. Life is mostly what you make it or how you take it. Beauty is where you find it, whether you are asleep or awake. What does a sunrise mean to you? "As a man thinketh, so he is," or so he becomes. Isn't all this, in a manner of speaking, an element of the sunrise?

Look at it this way. A sunrise heralds another day, a day of opportunity, a period in which you can grow, a time when you can do things, a time when you can wake up and live, a time when you can be yourself, a truly interesting event. And if not, can you make it so? You are uniquely different from anyone else. Do you find joy in this fact? It is an opportunity in which to grow and change the world around you, or a time wherein you can be glum, or a time of beauty and gladness. Have you ever thought of that?

Do you enjoy eating? Why? Is it merely because the food tastes good? There must be a reason. Who knows? It's because you have an appetite, a desire to consume. In the process of eating all food is put through chemical changes, called digestion, by an intelligent reaction within your body directed and controlled by the nervous system. In the digestive process some of the food becomes waste material and is eliminated from the body through organs of elimination. The food retained is further changed and absorbed eventually becomes flesh, bones, blood, nerves, hair skin, and nails distributed in proper proportions to provide a normal, healthy body equivalent to a beautiful sunrise.

Sunrises are not all alike, but all serve a definite purpose. And all sunrises, in many different ways, are beautiful and wondrous, as is all nature ... because such is the kingdom of heaven.

Then we must consider the emotions and all things that enter into the elements that constitute the human body. Do you occasionally say that you sometimes feel glum, disgruntled, and negative in your reactions? Try seeing the beauty in the sunrise, as well as the sunset. Your emotions and feelings will tend to be uplifted, all of which tend to make life more beautiful.

Salute The Morning

The morning is the resurrection of day accompanied by all its promises, its opportunities, its joy, its sorrow, its beauty, its enchantment, its encouragement, and at times its disappointments.

The morning comes after a night of rest, a period of oblivion, silent and dreamless at its best, and on occasion following a night of horrid dreams and misery. Nevertheless, in either case the morning awakens to the song of birds and the sound of industry. The witnessing of the approaching day as it sends its shafts of light over the hills and through the valleys. Then follows the rising sun and the glitter of dew diamonds upon the flowers and grass, or in the winter, the sparkle of frost or snow. How wonderful a gift from God! Those who do not arise early miss something of enchantment that can be found at no other time or place.

Perhaps your excuse is that you work late and must have your rest, or are ill and wakeful, dozing off at the break of day. How can you be expected to thrill with the coming of the morning when so often it bodes only troubles and disappointments, work and struggle to make ends meet?

Does this note of pessimism throw a wet blanket on the joy of living? Well, sometimes there is an excuse for it. All people do not get the same breaks in life, nor do they have the same opportunities to enjoy the wonders of the morning, especially when they live in crowded quarters or are surrounded by smoky, noisy industry. There are surely occasions when one may feel gloomy or entertain thoughts of resentment, with the wonders of nature often becoming obscured by the greed of man and his striving to achieve or to acquire wealth.

Then again illness may play into the picture. The strain and struggle of the day are disturbing and distracting factors, especially when the spine and nervous system are involved thus forming the basis for physical and mental problems. These problems may be diagnosed in  many different ways and treated with endless so-called cures that do not cure.

Science teaches that there is a cause for every effect. This is also true respecting the health of the body.

Health is a natural state of being that is the normal expression of life and function within the body manifest through the emotions and the nervous system. The emotions are yours to command. The thoughts you think and your attitude toward life play an important part in how you feel, but by no means are they the entire answer.

Anatomically, the spine encases the spinal cord, a great bundle of nerves that extends from the brain throughout the length of the spinal column. Between the vertebrae are openings through which all nerve trunks emit to separate into millions of fibers forming a direct contact between brain cells and tissue cells, a fundamental essential factor to life and health.

Kindness is one thing you can't give away ... it will always come back!

Today - Begin Where You Are

Do you wish to succeed in life? Try beginning where you now are. Utilize the tools you have at hand. Expect the best and then follow through and DO your best. That is all it takes.

Of course you must have a goal, whether it be immediate, intermediate or long term. You must know what you want. You must have an ideal, you must have vision. The Bible says, "Where there is no vision the people perish." Those with no vision wander about in a desert of non-belief, fear, and doubt until despair enters their mind. This is true of the individual or the mass. There seems no way out, and you can't win unless you believe you can be changed.

What is your problem? could it be ill health? Do you suffer pain? Are you nervous? Are you groggy from taking too much medicine, too many drugs, tranquilizers, aspirin, and/or perhaps even alcohol? Begin now to get rid of these false idols. There is a better way, a right way, and most importantly - the proper way. You will never find answers in a bottle or drug. You may ask what you can do. What other way is open to you?

Your body is fearfully and wonderfully made, as has often been said. This being true, what have you to fear? Why doubt the laws of nature? Begin now, where you are, to set nature's laws to work for you and you will find the way to approach a more abundant life. What does this mean, you may ask?

Chiropractors have a different approach to health problems. No drugs, no surgery, nothing to swallow, and no shots. It's not that we do not "believe" that modern medicine is injurious, but it would be a last resort unless a true emergency should present. Have you wondered how this works?

I point out that health comes from "up down inside and outward" and in no other way. Health depends entirely upon the nervous system that stems from the brain and spinal cord with its network of nerve fibers forming a direct medium of contact between brain cells and tissue cells.

You may have heard it said that the spine is the strength and support of the body. This is true, but the use of the spine has many ramifications. The spinal column supports the head housing the brain. It also serves for the articulation of all the larger bones and the attachments of major muscles and ligaments. Through this medium you are enabled to have strength, activity, and function; however, more is needed. this is supplied through the brain, spinal cord, and its nerve fibers already mentioned.

The spinal cord is a great cable of nerves that descends from the base of the skull down through the greater length of the spinal column. the spinal column is provided with openings between the vertebrae where nerve bundles emit separating into countless nerve fibers that form a direct contact between the brain cells and all structures of the body. Through this medium all activity and function take place enabling the body to perform a more perfect state of health.

Sometimes however, there is dis-ease (want of ease) with its various symptoms and you may become ill. You have pains, indigestion, nervousness, and various other disorders. As a result you take something for it, or you go to a doctor for a prescription to be filled at a pharmacy. These sometimes work, but more often cause side effects worse than the original complaint. "A drug is not a drug unless it causes side effects." Eli Lilly.

What has caused these problems? We point out that in everyday life you are subject to falls, accidents, and mishaps that sometimes displace one or more vertebrae to a degree so nerves are pinched. This in conjunction with malfunction and the emotions results in various health problems.

X-rays of the spine and other tests can determine the spinal cause of the problem. Then gentle spinal adjustments are given, and in due time health can be restored again. Are you in doubt?

Begin now, where you are. Go to your chiropractor and perhaps you too can discard your medicines. The way will be opened to a more abundant life.
