Time Marches On
Yes, it is true, time is not with us long. Some say that time marches on, others that it flies by. Regardless of the term employed, time is not here long, it is fleeting. No one can deny this absolute truth. So, if you have things to do, do them now. Put your hand upon the plow and don't look back, to quote the Bible. The time embracing yesterday is gone forever. the time ascribed for tomorrow is not yet here. Do things now. You have nothing to fear unless you procrastinate regarding time which is life, but soon is no more. Whatever you have to do, do it now. Keep on keeping on is a wise thing to do.
Be on your guard. Time is a priceless gift; yours to sow and to reap; yours to use but not to keep.
Do things well, do your best work better. Be certain of yourself, be proud of your chance to win, and time will help you on the way with faith increasing once you begin.
Never give up! There may be hills and mountains to climb. There may be detours to slow you down, but time is yours to use. Use it with a smile, and it will help you mile after mile.
Perhaps you will say that time gave you little chance to win. Ill health has been constantly a hurdle all along the way. What can you do under such circumstances? What are the doing?
Please consider this. Disease is only the absence of ease. Health, like other virtues, comes from within outward when the way is clear for the normal expression of life through the nervous system.
The spinal column is the strength and support of the body. The nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord plus spinal nerve fibers. This makes the spinal column the distributing center of the entire nervous system. Through this medium is served every function of the body; heart, lungs, stomach, muscles, and the relationships vital in every way.
Time marches on, time becomes life, and time is life in every respect. Be healthy, both in mind and body.

Take A Good Look At Yourself
"Hold a picture of yourself long enough and steady enough in your mind's eye and you are drawn to it." Jesus confirmed this stating, "As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he."
How true this is. One tends to achieve the thing that is clearly visualized. Golfers state, "Keep your eye on the ball. See its course as you prepare to putt; then transfer thought into action."
Reverend Harleigh Rosenberger observed, "The person who pictures himself as a failure will fail. the one who sees himself as a success will succeed." This being true, keep your vision clear and work toward your coveted goal.
Parents often unconsciously contribute toward their children's failure in school by nagging at them because of poor grades instead of praising the child for their good points. Never, ever say in the presence of a child that he or she is a poor scholar. Praise their good qualities and say, "now let's work a little harder to bring up the poor grades." Impress upon any person what they can become and they will make a greater effort to reach that goal. You are in the same class whether you realize it or not.
Perhaps you will say ill health is your stumbling block that keeps you down. Ill health may contribute to some degree your shortcoming, but bear in mind that picturing ill health sets up a wrong standard. The emotions are quick to pick it up and unconsciously influence the state of your health. For that very reason, keep your emotions under control.
There is another factor, however, that may be basic in relation to your health problem. That factor is your spine and nervous system. Had you thought of that? When you finally realize that pain killers and aspirin will not reach the cause of your problem, consult a chiropractor and perhaps in a very short time you will be well again and enjoying a more abundant life.
"You may drift into hell, but you must choose to row into Heaven."

The Struggle For Expression
When children are at play, each tries to excel. "Now watch me," is what the backward child is inclined to say. And so it is all through life whether it be choosing clothing, in games, in workmanship, in politics, in love. "Watch me, do it my way." There is a degree of competition, a struggle to excel. Perhaps that is as it should be. For without competition, without a degree of competitive struggle, there would tend to be decline. As you sow, so shall you reap.
Even with health problems there is a tendency toward excellence. You want to feel good because you can do better work. If you have a headache, you take something, not only to relive the pain but to enable you to do better work. When your work is inferior, it makes you nervous or irritable. Not a good thing. Children in school compete for better grades, for promotion, and for leadership. So it is in the game of life, there is a struggle to excel. To gain relief from pain and/or discomfort tranquilizers are used or other forms of treatment are employed.
In all forms of salesmanship there is a struggle for expression. Each tries to excel in salesmanship or in quality of product. In the healing arts it is much the same. Different so-called remedies make various claims for their respective product, and the patient is the goat. The competition between different forms of medication is keen. Makers of remedies seek wonder drugs. Chiropractors stress that drugs are superfluous and generally should be avoided. Do you wonder why? This is the explanation: The chiropractic profession maintains that health is a natural state of being that comes from within outward, expressed through the nervous system that stems from the brain and spinal cord, in conjunction with the spinal column.
The spinal column has been called the strength and support of the body. The spine consists of twenty-four movable vertebrae, with the sacrum and ilia supporting the rest of the spine. The spinal column has various functions. It serves for the articulation of all the larger bones and the attachment of the major ligaments and muscles. The vertebrae are separated by discs that enable bending and act as "shock absorbers" for the entire spine.
But this is not all. Between the vertebrae openings spinal nerve bundles emit from the spinal cord. These are a great cable of nerves encased within the spinal column extending downward from the brain to entire length of the spinal column. This make the spine the distributing center for the entire nervous system.
This anatomical arrangement is vital to health because accidents and trauma sometimes shock or strain the spine. When this occurs, one or more vertebrae may become displaced to a degree that nerves are pinched resulting in dis-ease (want of ease) and the symptoms that follow.
The normal expression of health should be restored and a more abundant life is made possible.
Make it happen!

From Acorn To Oak
Have you ever stopped to ponder that everything, regardless of size, starts from a small beginning? The whale was once a little mammal in a great ocean, the giant Sequoia tree grew from a seed, almost as tiny as a mustard seed. The largest skyscrapers began with a single brick. Hoover Dam started with a bag of cement and a yard of sand. And so it goes....
Every giant enterprise or important invention started with a simple idea. Most found their beginnings in a home or even a garage setting. The iron teakettle singing on the stove produced the original idea for the steam engine. A spider web across the garden path may have suggested the suspension bridge. An apple falling from a tree gave Sir Isaac Newton the idea which is known today as "the law gravity". A bullet wound in the abdomen of a patient aided a doctor in studying principle of digestion.
All these were little things, yet what tremendous wonders they held in store when the right moment arrived for the world to see the light and find the way.
The revolution in the world of healing has been magnificent. More and more, instead of treating effects of pain and discomfort with drugs and surgery, we are recognizing in mass that healing is done by clearing the cause of most disease. And that is done effectively by opening the nerve channels, thus allowing nature's healing forces within the body to function normally.
The nervous system is the directing and controlling medium of the body. Through the nervous system sensation is flashed to the brain informing the Innate Mind of the needs of the body, or the dangers to it. These impressions are interpreted and responding impulses are flashed back over the nervous system to the glands, organs and muscles of the body awakening them to normal activity.
Little things like discomfort, sleepless nights or even an emotional day may be signs of something bigger. See your doctor and grow healthy and strong.
We only have this life once .... and never again. Make it happen.
