Trouble To Yourself
Are you too much trouble to yourself? Do you take yourself too seriously, or do you just drift along the easy way with little concern?
There are different ways to consider yourself. You may be motivated by personal pride or just by ordinary habits, doing things that arouse the interest of others, or out of curiosity concerning the way you have of doing things that have a bearing on other people's lives.
Visualize if you will, a ragged hillbilly watching a man at a tourist court making use of a comb and brush, a toothbrush and nail file, and a whisk broom and shoe polish. The hillbilly boy finally, as he scratched his head, asked, "Hey Mister, are you always that much trouble to yourself?"
How much trouble are you to yourself? It is wise to have concern about appearance, all the while knowing there is a time and/or place for all things. Try to look your best on all occasions without too much public display. Be of service to others in a helpful manner without becoming subject to criticism.
Your body is "fearfully and wonderfully made" the Bible tells us; so you do not need to exercise too much trouble about yourself.
Have you thought of how wonderful your body really is? You become hungry and your appetite calls for food. You supply food of various kinds according to your taste. At once, the chemistry of your body begins to prepare the food for immediate use, exercising little thought on your part. In the process of time, common food is converted into flesh and bones, hair, skin, and nails; including blood, lymph glands, organs, and nerves with NO real trouble to yourself. It's nature's way of doing things, simple as that.
Be good to yourself without being too personal and others will love you as much as you love yourself.

Things That Bring Happiness
Happiness is a great blessing. It takes many things and many people to make a happy life. Most importantly, happiness inspires others as nothing else will.
Life is real, life is earnest. Draper once stated, "WE do not know what the future may bring, but we do know what we can bring with us to the future.
Blessings that bring us greatest happiness are those that are shared with others. For example, wishing you happiness and a day without tears can bring you a plus in store for the coming years with the best of everything. The personal birthday cards I do personally do as much good for me as it does the recipient. As I do my cards, I tend to visualize the smile it may bring when opened.
Be a friend to your mate, yet be even more than a friend. No one can calculate the infinite debt of joy two married people owe to each other. It hurts if the spark dims, and worse if it cannot be illuminated once again.
There's a lot more joy in living then you find along the way a very special person whom you love more each and every day. That's why it's such a pleasure to greet and to express kind wishes for continued joy and endless happiness.
James Whitcomb Riley beautifully stated; "it's the songs you sing and the smiles you wear that's making the sunshine everywhere."
Life is not a selfish or private existence. It is meant to be cooperative, based upon sharing joys and sorrows and making the best of everything. Edwin Markham wrote;
There is a destiny that makes us brothers;
None go this life alone.
All we send into the life of others
Comes back into our own.
The question is, what are you sending into the lives of others. Is it peace, joy, and love, or is it resentment, trouble, and hate? Remember ... as you sow you also reap.
Persons often excuse their shortcomings saying they are ill, that pain and misery keep crowding into your life against their will, and pushing aside their genuine wishes for good. Not a good excuse at all, but rather whining instead of getting into action and committing to good health. Changing a woeful diet is a great start. And, joining a yoga class or fitness program can change a life forever. Plus you meet some incredible people along the way. Nice perk! And remember chiropractic, as it addresses your nervous and hormonal systems - a good thing to keep in check should you wish to remain healthy and active.
"Believe that you can do anything!"

Be Kind
Friendship is a wonderful asset, love smooths many a hurt, charity has its place, but being kind is the pathway to all that is good, all that is wise, all that is uplifting, all that makes life worth living. No one can resist kindness, even the worst brute is mellowed by kindness and friction gives way to its wonderful power.
"Love one another as I have loved you," said a gentle and great man. No injunction is more powerful any time, any place; but kindness is basic even for love because its approach makes contacts possible. Be kind and all the world will smile a welcome to you.
Perhaps you will say that you are ill and indisposed. You can't help resenting the things others do to annoy you. Even so, just be kind and your own disposition will improve which in turn will remove the barrier that now separates potential friends.
If you are ill, what has created this handicap? It could be an emotional conflict. Change your way of thinking, be kind, and the barrier will usually disappear.
"But," you may protest, "I am nervous, I have a headache, I can't sleep, indigestion is making me miserable. How can I be kind under such circumstances?"
Did you ever consult a chiropractor about your health problems? Bear this in mind. the chiropractor has a different approach to health -- no medicine, no shots, no tranquilizers, no treatment of effects, for such treatment seldom has lasting results. Doctors of Chiropractic assure you that health, as kindness, comes from within outward but is expressed in a different manner.
Your body is composed of material things; bones, muscles, glands, organs, blood vessels, and nerves -- all of which are arranged in systems coordinated by an intangible force animated through the nervous system that stems from the brain and spinal cord. Does this begin to make sense?
Your body has been called God's masterpiece. It is built around a skeletal framework of bones, the spine being the strength and support of the body. A good chiropractor will find the problems associated with you body, and treat the related symptoms by fixing the cause. This provides a kindness to the n
ervous system thus health returns naturally making possible a greater quality of life.

A Baby Whispers Her Thoughts
I found this "letter" buried deep in my files. With political views being cast both ways, I ask that an open mind read this from a different perspective. That being .... from the unborn child.
*********************************************
Oct. 5: Today my life began. My parents do not know it yet. I am as small as the pollen of a flower, but it is I already. I will be a girl. I will have blonde hair and blue eyes. Nearly everything is settled already, even that I shall love flowers.
Oct 19: I have grown a little, but I am still too small to do anything for myself. My mother does almost everything for me, though she still does not know that she is carrying me under her heart.
But, is it true that I am not yet a real person? That only my mother exists? I am a real person, just as a small crumb of bread is still bread. My mother is, and I am.
Oct. 23: My mouth is beginning to open. Just think, in a year or so I’ll be laughing; later I’ll start to talk. My first word will be “Mama”.
Nov. 2: Today my heart began to beat. It will beat softly for the rest of my life. After many years it will tire and stop and I shall die.
My arms and legs are taking shape, but I must wait a long time before these tiny legs will raise up to my mother’s arms; and before these tiny arms can conquer the earth and befriend people.
Nov. 12: Tiny fingers are forming. How small they are. One day I’ll stroke my mother’s hair with them.
Nov. 20: Only today the doctor told my mother that I am living here under her heart. How happy she must be. Are you happy, Mother?
Nov. 25: My mother and father are probably thinking about a name for me. They don’t know I’m a girl, so they are probably calling me “Andy”. But I want to the called Shannen. I am growing so big.
Dec. 10: My hair is growing. It is as bright and shining as the sun. I wonder what kind of hair my mother has?
Dec. 13: I can almost see, though it is night around me. When mother brings me into the world, it will be full of sunshine and flowers.
More than anything, I want to see my mother. How do you look, Mother?
Dec. 24: I wonder if Mother heard the delicate beat of my heart?
Some children are born with sickly hearts, but mine is healthy. It beats so evenly ... tup-tup, tup-tup, you shall have a healthy little daughter, Mother.
Dec. 28: Today my mother killed me.
